OCI DMAP

Up to $15K grant — funds the consultant directly

The Digital Modernization and Adoption Plan (DMAP), run by the Ontario Centre of Innovation through its Digital Competence Centre (DCC), pays a registered consultant to produce an AI and digital adoption plan for your Ontario business. It is the entry grant — the funded document you need before applying for OCI TDP implementation funding.

What is OCI DMAP?

The Ontario Centre of Innovation (OCI) runs the Digital Competence Centre (DCC) to help Ontario SMBs modernize their operations. The DMAP stream funds an AI and digital adoption plan — a structured assessment and roadmap produced by a consultant. The grant pays the consultant directly. You receive the plan, not cash.

The plan has value beyond TDP eligibility. It maps your current digital maturity, identifies the highest-ROI AI opportunities in your operations, and produces a prioritized implementation roadmap. That is the same work we do in a paid AI Readiness Assessment.

How DMAP fits the Ontario grant pathway: plan first, then implementation funding.

Important: ReadyIQ is pursuing OCI Digital Adoption Consultant registration. We are not yet registered as an OCI-approved consultant. We can help you understand the pathway and connect you with registered consultants, or you can engage us as the AI strategy layer alongside a registered partner.

What the plan produces

What a DMAP-funded adoption plan includes

Digital maturity assessment

A clear baseline of your current tools, workflows, and technology readiness — where you are versus where you need to be.

AI opportunity mapping

The 3–5 workflows with the highest ROI potential for AI, identified from your actual operations.

Implementation roadmap

A prioritized plan with effort estimates, expected outcomes, and success criteria for each AI initiative.

TDP application support

The adoption plan is required input for an OCI TDP grant application. Producing it in the right format speeds up the next step.

The two-step Ontario grant path

DMAP funds the plan. TDP funds the build. Most Ontario SMBs need both.

Who may be eligible

OCI confirms eligibility directly. Typical requirements for the DCC's DMAP stream include:

  • Ontario-based SMB with a physical business presence in Ontario
  • For-profit business (not a franchise of a national chain in all cases — check OCI terms)
  • Fewer than 500 employees (SMB definition)
  • Actively operating and generating revenue
  • Not a previous recipient of the same DMAP funding (some streams are once per business)

These are general indicators, not a formal eligibility determination. Contact OCI or a registered Digital Adoption Consultant to confirm.

How ReadyIQ fits the DMAP pathway

While ReadyIQ pursues OCI consultant registration, there are two practical ways to access DMAP with ReadyIQ involved:

Option A: Registered partner referral

We refer you to a registered OCI Digital Adoption Consultant who handles the DMAP process. ReadyIQ provides the AI strategy depth and the technical adoption plan content. The registered partner files and administers the grant.

Option B: Paid assessment now

Engage ReadyIQ directly for an AI Readiness Assessment before DMAP opens or registration is confirmed. The output is the same adoption plan — and positions you to file for TDP as soon as the path is clear.
