Ontario — OCIImplementation funding

OCI Technology Demonstration Program

Up to $50K to fund your AI build in Ontario

OCI's Technology Demonstration Program (TDP) funds Ontario SMBs to build the AI systems identified in a prior Digital Modernization and Adoption Plan (DMAP). It covers the consultant, the software, the integration work, and the training. ReadyIQ delivers TDP-aligned implementation alongside registered consultant partners.

What is OCI TDP?

The Ontario Centre of Innovation's Technology Demonstration Program (TDP), run through its Digital Competence Centre (DCC), funds Ontario SMBs to build the AI and digital systems identified in a prior Digital Modernization and Adoption Plan (DMAP). It is the second step: the grant that turns the plan into a working system.

TDP covers actual implementation costs — the consultant, the technology, and the integration work. Businesses may be eligible for up to $50K (roughly 50% of eligible costs; some earlier intakes offered more), subject to OCI's review and the scope of the approved plan. Intake caps and windows change — confirm the active round with OCI. The grant is tied to the deliverables in your adoption plan, not a general-purpose budget.

DMAP followed by TDP is the most direct Ontario pathway to a funded AI implementation. Because the DMAP prerequisite runs through a DCC-registered consultant — and ReadyIQ's OCI registration is in progress — we currently deliver TDP-aligned work alongside registered partners.

What TDP covers

What the TDP grant can fund

How OCI grant funding narrows from awareness to funded implementation.

AI implementation advisory

Consultant fees for designing, building, and deploying the AI system described in the adoption plan. This is typically the largest line item — and where ReadyIQ's work fits.

Technology and software

Licences, subscriptions, and tools directly required to operate the AI system.

System integration

Development work to connect the AI system to your existing tools — CRM, ERP, accounting, operations software.

Training and documentation

Team training, user documentation, and knowledge transfer so your staff can operate the system after ReadyIQ delivers it.

The OCI ladder

DMAP → TDP: the full Ontario pathway

Most Ontario businesses access TDP after completing DMAP. Here is the end-to-end sequence.

2

TDP Application

Submit the plan to OCI

Your DMAP output is the required input for a TDP application. We help you structure the submission to maximize the funded scope.

3

OCI TDP

Funded implementation (up to $50K)

With TDP approved, ReadyIQ executes the AI implementation alongside the registered consultant. Fixed scope, fixed timeline, documented deliverables — satisfying OCI's reporting requirements throughout.

4

Stack with SR&ED

Claim the R&D component

If the TDP-funded implementation includes R&D work, you may also be eligible for SR&ED credits — offsetting further costs and compounding the government funding.

How ReadyIQ delivers a TDP-funded project

TDP projects carry stricter documentation and milestone requirements than a standard consulting engagement. ReadyIQ structures every TDP engagement with OCI compliance built in from day one.

Milestone-based delivery

We break the project into phases with clearly defined deliverables and check-in points that map to OCI's reporting cadence.

Technical documentation

Every build decision is documented in a form suitable for OCI review — architecture decisions, implementation notes, test results.

Measurable outcomes

We define success metrics at the start and report against them at project close — the data OCI needs for program evaluation.

Knowledge transfer

OCI requires that the receiving business can operate the system after the engagement. We include structured training and handoff documentation.
